Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Rial's mobile applications, APIs, SDKs, or related services (collectively, the "Services"), you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Services.

2. Description of Services

Rial provides cryptographic verification services for digital images. Our Services include:

• Mobile applications for capturing and verifying images
• API and SDK tools for developers
• Cryptographic proof generation and verification
• Device attestation and hardware-backed security features

3. What Rial Does and Does Not Verify

What We Verify:

• Device authenticity through hardware attestation
• Capture timestamp accuracy
• GPS coordinates (when enabled)
• Image transformation history (crops, resizes, filters applied)
• Cryptographic chain of custody

What We Do Not Verify:

• Content truthfulness or accuracy
• Whether a scene was staged or manipulated before capture
• Identity of the photographer
• Validity of insurance claims or legal assertions
• Whether an image is AI-generated

4. Service Limitations

Rial provides technical verification services only. Our Services are not a substitute for professional investigation, legal advice, or expert analysis. While we use advanced cryptographic techniques, we do not guarantee:

• 100% fraud prevention or detection
• Complete elimination of false positives or false negatives
• Admissibility of our proofs in all legal jurisdictions
• Compatibility with all devices or operating systems

5. User Responsibilities

You agree not to:

• Use the Services for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to circumvent security features
• Reverse engineer or decompile the Services
• Misrepresent the capabilities of Rial's verification
• Submit false or misleading information

6. Privacy and Data Handling

For verification services:

• Only cryptographic hashes and proofs are retained
• You maintain full ownership of your images
• Original images never leave your device during verification

For claims and submission services (e.g., TrueShot):

• Photos submitted through claims workflows are transmitted and stored
• Stored photos are accessible only to authorized parties (e.g., insurance adjusters)
• Photos are encrypted at rest and subject to retention policies
• You may request deletion subject to regulatory requirements

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RIAL IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. IN NO EVENT SHALL RIAL BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Wilmington, Delaware.
