Getting Started

Creating Your First Board

Click on the board selector dropdown in the Projects tab header, then select "New Board" to create a new board. Each board has its own columns, cards, and sprints.

Board Sharing

Click the share icon next to the board settings to share your board with team members. Shared users can view and edit all cards on the board.

Cards

Creating Cards

Click "New Card" button or press N to create a new card. Each card automatically gets a unique task ID (e.g., PRJ-001).

Card Details

Click any card to open the detail panel on the right. Here you can:

  • Title & Description: Edit the card's title and add a detailed description
  • Assignee: Assign the card to a team member
  • Priority: Set Low, Medium, or High priority
  • Labels: Add labels like Bug, Feature, Design, Docs, Marketing
  • Due Date: Set a deadline (overdue cards show a red indicator)
  • Sprint: Assign to a sprint for sprint planning
  • Story Points: Estimate effort (1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21)

Drag and Drop

Drag cards between columns to change their status. Cards can be reordered within columns by dragging.

Subtasks & Dependencies

Subtasks

Add subtasks to break down work into smaller items. Check off subtasks as you complete them - a progress bar shows completion percentage on the card.

Dependencies

Link cards using dependencies:

  • Blocked By: This card cannot start until another card is done
  • Blocks: Other cards are waiting for this card to be completed

Adding Comments

Editing & Deleting

Hover over your own comments to see edit and delete buttons. You can only edit or delete comments you've created.

Sprints

Creating Sprints

Click "Manage Sprints" to open the sprint management modal. Create sprints with:

  • Name: e.g., "Sprint 1", "Sprint 2"
  • Goal: What you want to achieve this sprint
  • Description: Additional context or notes
  • Start/End Date: Sprint duration
  • Capacity: Total story points available for the sprint

Sprint Planning

Assign cards to sprints and track capacity. The sprint filter shows used/total story points to help you avoid overcommitting.

Filtering & Search

Search

Use the search box to find cards by title, description, or task ID. Search updates in real-time as you type.

Filters

Use the dropdown filters to narrow down cards:

  • Sprint: Show cards from a specific sprint
  • Assignee: Filter by team member or "My Work" for your cards
  • Priority: High, Medium, or Low
  • Label: Bug, Feature, Design, Docs, Marketing
  • Due Date: Overdue, Due Today, Due This Week, No Due Date

Columns

New boards start with: Backlog, To Do, In Progress, Review, and Done.

Managing Columns

  • Use story points to estimate work and plan sprint capacity
  • Set sprint goals to keep the team focused on what matters
  • Use labels to categorize work (bugs vs features)
  • Break large tasks into subtasks for better progress tracking
  • Use dependencies to visualize blockers and unblock work faster
  • Check "My Work" filter to see only cards assigned to you
  • Review overdue cards regularly to stay on track
